Social Studies: Travel the World!

The children will embark on a global adventure where they will explore diverse countries and cultures while learning world geography. Each week, we’ll journey to a new destination, uncovering the rich heritage, traditions, and landmarks of nations across the globe. As students venture to each country, they will fill up their personalized passports with unique stickers, marking their progress and celebrating their discoveries.

This is entirely child led and guided. Children will get to choose which countries they would like to explore. They can choose to explore together with a partner or with a small group or even individually. The coach will be there to facilitate and provide assistance as needed!

Program Highlights:

  • Interactive learning on geography, history, and cultural studies.
  • Fun and educational activities that bring each country to life.
  • Personalized passports for each child to collect stickers from every destination.
  • A supportive community of fellow homeschoolers and an expert educator

Prepare your young explorer for an unforgettable educational journey. Watch their knowledge and curiosity about the world grow with every new stamp in their passport!

Art Through Nature Journaling

Your children will learn how to draw and watercolor the world around them! They will learn to observe nature more closely and be inspired to go outside and do their own nature journaling. Building observation skills is a foundation for science. We have the opportunity to visit Terrapin Nature Park throughout the year to enhance the children’s skills!

The book used is called “Draw Your Way Into the Woods”.  Each lesson begins with a short, fun poem like, "Jabberwocky" or "The Caterpillar" and a selection of art by a famous artist like Monet or Van Gogh. There is also a short science trivia tip that might make the children want to learn more! A related drawing lesson follows. Students create their own nature journal. Supplies needed: pencil, blending tool, watercolors, and markers.
