Academic Summer Camp

This summer opportunity is for children ages 6-11!

Our Camp Mission

  • Prevent summer learning loss

  • Spend time in nature (weather dependent)
  • Step into the child’s creativity, problem solving skills & big picture thinking

Your child will be taught by a trained special educator who is certified in Orton Gillingham, using research-based methods and multisensory strategies to engage in the learning process of reading, writing, and math.

Beyond Words will help prepare your child for the upcoming school year and the best part is your child will have fun in the interactive camp environment.

3 DIFFERENT OPPORTUNITIES:                                 Enroll your child in as many as 3 weeks!

Week 1: July 29th-August 2nd

Week 2: August 5th-August 9th

Week 3: August 12th-August 16th

Monday-Friday    8:30am-3:00pm

Before/aftercare may be available if needed.             Please contact us to discuss further!

Location: Beyond Words Learning Center is located inside The Edge Arena - Stevensville, MD.                 (Address: 325 Log Canoe Circle, 2nd Floor)

Daily Schedule

  • 8:30-9:00

    Homeroom - building community

  • 9:00-10:00

    Writing

  • 10:00-11:00

    Math

  • 11:00-12:00

    Reading

  • 12:00-1:00

    Lunch and Free Play

  • 1:00-3:00

    Afternoon fun including:

    • STEAM activities
    • hiking & nature sketching at Terrapin Nature Park (weather dependent) 
    • Kind Island Kids community project

Tuition: $500 per week

Limited spots available. Applications are considered in the order received.

We will reach out to you after registration to schedule diagnostic testing which helps find your child's present levels in order to provide individualized instruction.
